About Warwick Steel Structures (WSS)
Warwick Steel Structures is an established UK steel fabrication business with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality structural steelwork, architectural metalwork, and bespoke fabrication projects.
We are entering an exciting phase of commercial growth and operational modernisation. To support this, we are looking for a commercially driven Business Development Manager to take ownership of sales, client relationships, and pipeline growth.
This is a high-impact role for someone who thinks commercially, understands construction and engineering environments, and wants to be rewarded directly for results.
The Role
This is a revenue-generating, field-focused sales role.
Your primary responsibility will be to:
* Grow profitable revenue
* Convert enquiries into orders
* Develop relationships with new and existing clients
* Strengthen WSS's presence across key sectors
You will work closely with the estimating and production teams, using structured quoting tools and commercial processes to ensure pricing discipline and consistent margins.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute a proactive sales plan to win new business
* Manage and grow existing client accounts
* Generate new enquiries through site visits, networking, and outbound activity
* Convert opportunities into profitable orders
* Work with the estimating team to prepare accurate, commercially sound quotations
* Maintain an active sales pipeline and CRM records
* Identify cross-selling and repeat business opportunities
* Support pricing strategy to protect and improve margins
* Represent WSS professionally at client meetings and industry events
Target Sectors
Experience in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable:
* Structural steelwork
* Construction and civil engineering
* Architectural metalwork
* Industrial fabrication
* Film & events fabrication supply
* Commercial fit-out and specialist projects
What We're Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience
* Proven sales or business development experience (ideally within construction, engineering, or fabrication)
* Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
* Ability to read drawings and understand project requirements
* Confident communicator with clients at all levels
* Organised, self-motivated, and target-driven
* Full UK driving licence
Desirable
* Background in steel fabrication or related industries
* Experience working with contractors, architects, or project managers
* Familiarity with estimating processes
Package & Rewards
This is a performance-led role with significant earning potential.
Base Package
* Salary: £35,000 – £40,000
* Car Allowance: £2,400 – £3,000 per annum
* Business mileage reimbursed at HMRC rates
Commission Structure (Uncapped)
* Commission based on gross profit margin generated
* Commission paid only on cash received
* Tiered commission structure rewarding both revenue and margin growth
* No artificial earnings cap – high performers are rewarded
