We are looking for someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to join our Pharmacy Aseptic Team. You will be part of a team consisting of Pharmacists, Technicians and Assistants, who are always striving for excellence in all aspects of our work. We are working collaboratively as part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team to ensure we always deliver outstanding care to our patients. This is an exciting time to join the Hospital Aseptic Department. Our service is built around providing a high-quality service to our patients and staff of the Trust. You will be required to work on the earlies/lates, weekends and bank holiday on a rotational format. Main duties of the job The Job Description outlines the roles of the Senior Aseptic Services Technician. You will work closely with and support the Lead and Deputy Lead Technician in the day to day running of the Technical Services aseptic suite, providing a quality led GMP compliant service, supplying aseptically prepared medicines to cancer patients including clinical trials and immunotherapy, in a timely manner to all service users. You will act as a supervisor under the direction of the Deputy Lead Technician in the aseptic suite or its support areas and to line manage and act as a role model for junior members of staff. Detailed job description and main responsibilities Support the maintenance and development of the highest standards of patient-focused care in the provision of aseptic services to all patients at UHD. Participate in the education and training of pharmacists, technicians & assistants in aseptic services Line manage and appraise junior members of the team and support the training and development of Pharmacy Technicians, Aseptic Services Technicians and Assistants working within the aseptic unit Support the effective use of resources, including medicines, within the aseptic unit to minimise wastage.
