Main Responsibilities

Our Family Practitioners are key workers for the children and families we support. You will:

* Lead on early help assessments and plans.
* Work together with social workers to support children in need, children on child protection plans, and children in care.
* Contribute to parenting assessments, supporting mediation, crisis prevention, conflict resolution, and Life Story Work.
* Support on the completion of accurate documentation, reports, and records relating to work you do with children, young people, and their families.

Through all this great work you do, you’ll be supporting children and families with a restorative practice approach, helping them stay together where possible.

The Ideal Candidate

You’ll need to:

* Have an NVQ Level 3 related to working with children and families OR relevant experience working with children and families.
* Be flexible with working hours as there will be occasions where evening work may be needed, and we’d need you to work 1 in every 7 weekends.
* Have a current UK driving licence and vehicle.

Above all, you’ll bring the desire to work with children and families to give them the right support, at the right time, with the aim of keeping families together where it’s safe to do so.
