Role Overview
The Host works in a team environment with other restaurant professionals, including barbacks, bartenders, servers, dishwashers, cooks, and chefs. It is essential that the candidate possesses a background in basic service techniques and has a natural ability to manage time effectively.
The Host is responsible for creating memorable guest experiences, welcoming guests with genuine hospitality, and managing the arrival and departure experiences. Familiarity with reservation and scheduling software is necessary to provide excellent service to guests with allergies and restrictions. Ongoing food and beverage tastings and trainings will expand your knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits.
Candidate Expectations
Reliability, responsibility, professionalism, and a positive attitude are expected from all team members. Punctuality, appearance, teamwork, and proactive communication are crucial. Developing trusting relationships with peers and guests is vital. Shifts are mainly evenings and weekend brunch, with some lunch shifts during peak summer patio season.
