Job Overview
Our Paediatric Occupational Therapy Team has a part‑time assistant position to support experienced Occupational Therapists in delivering therapeutic interventions for children in North Tyneside. The role is based at The Riverside Children’s Centre in North Shields, working with children aged 0‑18 years who have physical difficulties such as cerebral palsy and developmental coordination disorder.
Responsibilities
* Assist qualified Occupational Therapists and Allied Health Professional colleagues in delivering joint, targeted treatment intervention goals tailored to each child across a range of environments.
* Support children in using specialist equipment provided by the therapists to enhance play experiences and participation in activities of daily living.
* Implement fine‑motor and activities of daily living interventions under the guidance of the therapy team.
* Collaborate closely with other therapy professionals and the child's multidisciplinary care team to deliver a high‑quality service to families.
