Investor Advisory
Investor Advisory is a specialist advisory function within Rothschild & Co’s Global Advisory business. This team provides clients with strategic equity market advice and investor engagement services. This includes identifying and accessing the most relevant equity capital pools for our clients, helping them to understand how the market perceives their investment case, and optimising their equity story.
Overview of Role
Our Investor Advisory team is seeking a high-performing Associate to join our growing practice.
The successful candidate will play an important role in delivering our perception studies to a range of UK and European clients and as well as providing ongoing IR advice to support our continuing growth.
Perception studies deliver attributed insight to the Boards of client companies. The forensic examination of a company’s investment case, together with their messaging considerations, are a powerful tool in ensuring a company’s equity story remains effective from a valuation, corporate governance and M&A perspective. In addition, there will be opportunities for the successful candidate to be involved with clients of the wider Investor Advisory offering, such as advice around equity marketing, investor targeting and shareholder activism.
Responsibilities
As an Associate, you will balance rigorous analysis with high-level client exposure. Your core responsibilities will include:
1. Supporting the collection and qualitative interpretation of investor and analyst feedback to provide actionable intelligence to client Boards.
2. Delivering ongoing Investor Relations and capital markets advice, ensuring clients' messaging remains effective and competitive.
3. Providing investor intelligence to support broader transaction advisory, including M&A and activism defence.
4. Contributing to the wider Investor Advisory product suite, including equity marketing, investor targeting.
5. Developing marketing materials and participating in initiatives to drive the team’s continued growth.
Education and Qualifications
6. Degree (or equivalent) from a leading institution; 2.1 or above
Experience, Skills and Competencies Required
We are looking for an individual with a sharp analytical mind and the professional presence to interact with senior stakeholders.
7. Experience: Minimum of 3 years within Capital Markets in a client-facing capacity (e.g., Corporate Broking, Equity Research, Financial PR, or Buy-side/Sell-side roles).
8. Education: A strong academic record (2:1 or higher) from a leading university.
9. Market Knowledge: A sophisticated understanding of equity capital markets.
10. Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distil complex feedback into clear, executive-level insights.
11. Mindset: High attention to detail, a proactive approach to a varied workload, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced advisory environment.
