What You'll Do: Support the delivery of both hard and soft FM services across multiple university sites Assist with health & safety checks, statutory compliance, and routine inspections Help coordinate contractors and suppliers, gaining insight into service delivery Respond to operational requests and provide excellent customer service Learn how to maintain accurate documentation and compliance records Join managers on audits, risk assessments, and site visits Build confidence in communication, teamwork, and professional relationships Balance on-the-job learning with completing your IWFM Level 3 Apprenticeship For a list of responsibilities please view the attached job description What we’re looking for Skills & Attributes We’re not expecting experience in FM, just the right mindset: Organised, reliable, and able to manage time well A confident communicator who enjoys working with others Proactive, positive, and keen to learn new skills Great attention to detail Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office) Knowledge & Experience (desirable, not essential) Any awareness of Facilities Management or health & safety Previous experience in customer service, admin, or operational roles Qualifications GCSE Maths & English (Grade 4/C or above) – essential Willingness to complete the IWFM Level 3 Apprenticeship – essential What you’ll achieve By the end of your apprenticeship, you’ll have: A nationally recognised Level 3 FM qualification Real operational experience across a broad range of FM disciplines A strong foundation for progressing into coordinator, supervisor, or specialist roles Confidence, professionalism, and skills valued across the FM industry The opportunity to support meaningful services that impact thousands of campus users every day You’ll be making a real difference all while building a career with purpose.
