Credit Controller – Birmingham City Centre
Salary: £24,000–£28,000 per year + bonus

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join a busy, dynamic media and publishing business based in Birmingham city centre. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in credit control who thrives in a high-volume, target-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
5. Manage and collect customer accounts efficiently.
6. Take ownership of your own ledger section.
7. Meet and deliver agreed collection targets.
8. Control and monitor daily debt activity.
9. Monitor cash allocation and take corrective action where necessary.
10. Ensure all processes align with the company’s credit policy.
11. Escalate serious issues to the Team Leader or Credit Manager.
12. Complete daily tasks such as resolving unallocated cash, clearing accounts off dispute, and following up with customers who have missed payments.
Skills Acquired:
13. Experience managing higher-value accounts in a fast-paced environment.
14. Strong understanding of finance and account management principles.
15. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial systems.
16. Ability to communicate effectively with diverse international clients.
17. Organisational skills and adaptability to handle new challenges daily.
18. Knowledge of media or publishing processes (advantageous but not essential).
Schedule:
19. Monday to Friday, on-site in Birmingham.
