The role is to ensure maintenance support is continuously provided to the Management Team and production team to achieve a sustained improvement in overall equipment efficiency (OEE) and Maintenance KPIs, whilst assisting the production team in attaining "best in class" status. Key Accountabilities:
1. Health and Safety: Operating to the highest level of health and safety objectives in line with Heidelberg Materials Health and Safety Plan. Create, implement & communicate a plan of continuous improvement on site. Create and adhere to risk assessments, safe systems of work, and permits to work.
2. Environmental: Operating to the highest level of environmental objectives.
3. Contractor Management: Responsible for the organization and supervision of engineering/maintenance contractors as well as the onsite TPM team.
4. Environmental Management Plan: Create, implement & communicate a plan of continuous improvement on site.
5. Compliance: Ensure all statutory legislation and company regulations are adhered to with respect to all operational activities.
6. KPI Delivery: Achieve OEE improvement from current levels to a sustained 85%+.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Proficient and competent in mechanical engineering.
* Green Belt Six Sigma certification.
* Time served apprentice or NVQ maintenance engineering or at least 5 years' experience in a maintenance engineering-based role.
* HNC or HND in maintenance engineering (desirable).
* IOSH Managing Safely certification.
* Basic understanding and skills of Microsoft Office / IT Literate.
* Electrical engineering proficiency (a bonus).
* NVQ Level 4 in SHE Quarry operations (a bonus).
