We are partnering with a Private Equity backed, highly acquisitive Contracts Management group to appoint a Head of Commercial Finance supporting a £20m revenue business based in Newcastle.
This is a high-impact leadership role offering strong visibility, influence and genuine progression within a fast-growing platform.
Working closely with the Managing Director and Group CFO, this role will play a critical part in driving commercial performance, improving margins and providing strategic financial insight across the business.
The Opportunity
As Head of Commercial Finance, you will take ownership of the finance function for a £20m turnover operation within a dynamic and expanding group.
You will act as a true commercial partner to operations, ensuring robust financial reporting while driving performance improvement and supporting strategic decision making.
This role offers the opportunity to operate at the heart of a Private Equity backed growth environment, with exposure to acquisitions, integration and scaling operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Ownership of monthly management accounts and financial reporting
* Delivering FP&A activities including budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management
* Commercial business partnering with operational leadership
* Driving margin improvement and operational performance insights
* Ensuring strong financial controls and governance
* Supporting acquisition integration and financial alignment
* Leading and developing the finance team
* Providing clear financial visibility to senior stakeholders
You will bring a strong commercial mindset combined with operational understanding in contract-led environments.
Experience in contract-driven, operationally complex and margin-sensitive businesses will be highly advantageous.
Requirements
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
* Strong commercial finance and business partnering experience
* Experience working in FM, engineering services or contract-based businesses
* Ability to operate effectively within a Private Equity backed environment
* Strong stakeholder management and leadership capability
