As the project continues to scale and governance requirements evolve, the Internal Audit function is expanding, creating a standout opportunity for an experienced Internal Audit Manager to join a high-impact, forward-thinking team.
This is a pivotal, hands-on internal audit role where you'll lead the end-to-end delivery of assurance and advisory engagements across a fast-moving, highly regulated environment. Reporting directly to the Head of Internal Audit, you'll provide clear, evidence-based insight to senior leaders, influencing decision-making and strengthening risk, control, and governance across the programme.
📊 About the Role
1. Lead the planning, execution and reporting of internal audit engagements across financial, operational, compliance and IT-related risk areas.
* Deliver independent assurance, insight and foresight to strengthen governance, risk management and internal controls.
* Prepare and present high-quality audit reports and findings to senior stakeholders, including the Executive Team and Audit & Risk Committee.
* Develop pragmatic corrective action plans with management and track progress to completion.
* Contribute to the annual internal audit planning process, ensuring coverage of key strategic and emerging risks.
* Support the organisation's integrated assurance framework and three lines of defence model.
* Coach, develop and line manage up to two Internal Auditors, and oversee co-source support where required.
* Stay up to date with developments in audit methodology, risk management and assurance technologies.
📋 What We're Looking For
2. Minimum of 7 years' experience in internal audit, risk or assurance within large, complex organisations or professional services environments.
* Significant experience delivering internal audit engagements in large, complex organisations or within a leading professional services firm.
* If trained in Big 4 or professional services, candidates will ideally have already made the move into an in-house / industry internal audit role.
* Strong experience independently delivering high-quality internal audit engagements in fast-paced, highly regulated settings.
* Confident communicating audit findings clearly and credibly to senior management and committees.
* Comfortable providing constructive challenge and navigating complex stakeholder discussions.
* Strong understanding of global internal audit standards and leading practice.
* Professional qualification such as CIA or CISA is highly advantageous (but not essential for exceptional candidates).
* Exposure to IT-enabled audits, major projects, infrastructure, or government-funded environments is beneficial but not required.
