Overview
Part Time Assistant Headteacher for Special Educational Needs and Disability (SENDCo) – Holy Trinity CE Primary School, East Finchley. Required from 1 January 2026 for a part-time (3 days per week), permanent position. Salary: Leadership Scale Pt 1-3 (£55,881 – £58,497), plus SEN Allowance (£2,787).
Responsibilities
* Provide outstanding leadership for SEND provision across the school and support teachers to meet the needs of all children.
* Act as SENDCo to coordinate provision for pupils with SEND in line with the SEND Code of Practice and inclusive practices.
* Promote children’s wellbeing and support their flourishing in all aspects of school life.
* Work effectively with parents, stakeholders and external agencies to support pupils’ progress.
* Lead and develop staff to sustain high-quality teaching and learning for pupils with additional needs.
Qualifications and attributes
* Passionate about children’s wellbeing, especially those with additional needs.
* Proven track record of improving learning and progress and experience of driving school improvement.
* Excellent knowledge of the curriculum, the SEND Code of Practice, and strategies to support inclusion.
* Ability to provide inspiring leadership for SEND provision and to support teachers to meet diverse needs.
* Strong collaboration with parents, stakeholders and external agencies.
* Commitment to enhancing the Christian ethos of the school.
