We are looking for a well‑organised and enthusiastic individual to join our Ophthalmology Surgery booking team. You must have the ability to work well under pressure, prioritise your workload effectively and have excellent communication skills. You must be able to work both independently and within the team; liaise with staff at all levels in a confident manner and be willing to learn. This is a busy role that would require an individual who can adapt to fulfilling a range of tasks and duties.
Knowledge of 18 week RTT rule is desirable but full training on all aspects of the role will be given.
You must be able to uphold the Trust values of Safe, Kind and Excellent at all times.
Responsibilities
* Actively monitor the waiting list for Ophthalmology, booking patients for both local and general anaesthetists’ procedures in line with waiting times and priority scores.
* Booking pre and post assessments and all other necessary appointments relevant to patient’s surgery.
* Communicating with patients, staff and all relevant stakeholders of all levels face‑to‑face and by phone and email.
* Close attention to detail updating patients, notes, records and tracking RTT pathways.
Qualifications & Experience
* Well‑organised and enthusiastic with excellent communication skills.
* Ability to work well under pressure, prioritise workload, and work independently or within a team.
* Confident liaison with staff at all levels.
* Willingness to learn and adapt to a range of tasks and duties.

* Due to Home Office immigration rules, a full‑time permanent vacancy cannot be filled by individuals on a Student visa.
