Job Overview
Real Skills Training Ltd is looking for an experienced Trainer / Assessor to deliver Residential Childcare and Adult Care apprenticeship standards, qualifications and short courses from Levels 2 to 5.
This is a full-time, hybrid role with your week split across two core areas:
* 3 days per week – online group teaching and delivery, using platforms such as Microsoft Teams.
* 2 days per week – managing a dedicated caseload of approximately 20 learners, with visits to settings mainly in the Aylesbury area.
We’re looking for someone based in or near Aylesbury, or happy to travel there regularly. The majority of your learner caseload will be located in the Aylesbury area.

What You’ll Be Doing
Teaching & Group Delivery (3 days – online)
* Plan and deliver engaging group training sessions covering Residential Childcare and Adult Care apprenticeship standards and qualifications from Level 2 to Level 5.
* Develop and update training materials to ensure content is current, evidence-based, and aligned with awarding body requirements.
* Deliver sessions via Microsoft Teams, Zoom and online learning platforms, providing a supportive and inclusive learning experience.
* Play an active role in team meetings, contributing to schemes of work, assessment updates and sharing of best practice.
Caseload Management & Assessment (2 days)
* Support and assess a caseload of approximately 20 apprentices and learners, providing coaching, feedback and guidance to help them achieve their qualifications in a timely manner.
* Visit learners in their workplace settings to carry out observations, assessments of competency, and progress reviews.
* Prepare and review action plans with learners and employers, setting clear targets and providing constructive, developmental feedback.
* Support learners with portfolio building to the required standard and guide them through to End Point Assessment.
* Communicate with employers and workplace mentors to schedule visits, build positive relationships and confirm assessment arrangements.
Quality, Compliance & Administration
* Work within the framework set out by awarding bodies and accrediting agencies, including internal and external verification and moderation systems.
* Maintain accurate observational and assessment records and ensure all documentation evidencing the assessment process is completed to standard.
* Carry out risk assessments for new settings where needed.
* Receive and act on feedback from management, IQA and EQA processes.
* Provide information, advice and guidance to apprentices and learners throughout their programme.
