The role will be to support and work closely with the Financial Director; you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the business and driving financial performance. 25 days holiday 8 bank holidays Free onsite parking Car allowance Pension scheme Life assurance Sickness scheme The Role Monthly Accounts: Prepare and review monthly management accounts on time Variance Analysis: Explain major differences from the budget and suggest actions to address issues Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Ensure all balance sheet accounts are checked and supported each month Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the planning and updating of budgets, making sure they support business goals Financial Analysis: Provide financial insights to support business decisions when needed Compliance: Make sure financial reporting follows UK rules and accounting standards (UK GAAP/IFRS) Plot Income Review: Reconcile plot income each month and explain any unexpected changes Audit Support: Work with external auditors to ensure accurate and compliant reports Internal Controls: Build and maintain strong financial controls to protect company assets and ensure accuracy Team Management: Support and guide the finance team, making sure they have the skills and resources they need Management Reporting: Prepare updates for monthly and quarterly meetings with senior leaders System Management: Oversee the implementation and and improvement of financial systems The Person CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified Experience working within a financial management role is essential Experience working withing a construction or property business would be an advantage Strong IT skills and system understanding, experience using COINS would be an advantage
