Family Hub Information Advice & Support Officer WMF2983e
Location: Office based at Family Hub sites; base will be Penrith covering Eden and South Lakes.
Contract: Fixed term, 3 years, full-time.
About this opportunity
We provide support for the day‑to‑day running of Best Start Family Hubs – engaging with families and visitors, record keeping, collating and presenting data, managing mailboxes, room bookings and supporting event delivery. The role requires the ability to travel independently.
Key Responsibilities
* Engage with families and visitors at the hubs.
* Maintain accurate records and collate data for reporting.
* Manage mailbox, room bookings and logistics for hub activities.
* Support the delivery of events and initiatives.
* Collaborate with team members and external partners.
Qualifications and Skills
* Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with excellent written, face‑to‑face and virtual (Teams) communication abilities.
* Knowledge and experience of Microsoft applications, case management systems and financial systems.
* Ability to prioritise and manage workload efficiently, working independently and as part of a team.
* Experience of collaboration across teams and partners.
Employment Conditions
* Enhanced DBS check with Children’s Barred List check required.
* Exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974.
