Hours: 37.5 per week, Shift patterns Monday to Friday between 07:30-09:00 and 16:00-18:00
We are looking for an IT Hardware Manager to join our busy and innovative team. You will line manage a Hardware Engineer as part of a team of two. This role involves building laptops, desktops and tablets, and managing the hardware lifecycle of the estate. You will be responsible for IT hardware peripherals, WEEE disposal and IT Asset Management of all devices. Currently supporting circa 6000 devices with Windows, iOS and Android operating systems.

Responsibilities
* Imaging, distribution and return of laptops, desktops and tablets as part of our Joiner Mover Leaver process
* Refining and suggesting improvements to existing hardware processes
* Manage liaison with HP, Apple, and hardware distributors such as SoftCat for purchase and support of hardware
* Own relationships with peers in the IT service desk and infrastructure teams
* Oversee the output of the IT hardware team, with reporting on performance, device volume, and order projections
* Maintain relationships between the service desk regarding troubleshooting and brand-specific imaging requirements
* Own and maintain an IT Asset Management platform, WEEE disposal and monthly device activity reports
* Review and maintain a knowledge base of issues from build and return processes and implement fixes
* Own the imaging and installation process for all devices
* Knowledge and experience with Windows 7/10 essential
* Continue to develop knowledge in software installation, build, fault finding, and repair
* Own the end-to-end Windows patching process across the estate, including monthly patches and driver updates
Qualifications
Experience managing IT hardware environments and coordinating with hardware manufacturers and distributors. Strong understanding of asset management and WEEE disposal. Windows operating systems experience (Windows 7/10) is essential.
