Tempeo is partnering with a prestigious, historic sports and events venue in the heart of the East Midlands to find their next strategic marketing leader. This is a vital senior position, reporting directly to the senior commercial team, where your impact on revenue and fan engagement will be immediate and critical.
We're looking for a Strategic Marketing Manager who thrives on commercial challenges, leading digital campaigns, and shaping the future of the visitor experience. You will own the full marketing strategy for the competitive season, year-round venue events, ticketing, and merchandising.
Your Impact: Key Strategic Responsibilities
This is a hands-on leadership role focused purely on delivering strategic results and clear ROI.
* Revenue & Ticketing Strategy: Design and implement integrated marketing campaigns across all channels to maximize ticketing sales, seasonal memberships, and commercial venue hire enquiries.
* Digital Leadership: Oversee all digital assets—including website management (with an agency), Mailchimp campaigns, and social media strategy—to ensure seamless customer journeys and targeted engagement.
* Brand Management: Ensure absolute consistency in branding and messaging across all marketing materials, driving a unified, high-quality brand voice.
* Event Experience & Activation: Manage the creation and delivery of engaging match-day themes, in-ground entertainment, and sponsor activations to enhance the fan experience and maximize commercial returns.
* Budget Management: Work with the commercial leadership to manage and optimize the marketing budget for maximum efficiency.
* Communications Oversight: Manage key public communications and press relations, working proactively to secure positive media coverage.
Who We're Looking For
We need a dedicated, adaptable leader with a passion for high-impact commercial marketing.
* Proven marketing management experience (5+ years desirable) in a high-volume leisure, sports, or entertainment environment.
* Demonstrable track record of designing and delivering successful, revenue-generating campaigns.
* Expert proficiency in digital marketing tools and content strategies, including WordPress, Adobe Suite, Mailchimp, and social platforms.
* A dynamic, resilient approach suitable for a highly visible public role, including mandatory weekend working during the competitive season.
The Offer
* Salary: Highly Competitive, £40,000 - £45,000 PA inclusive of 10% bonus based on Tickets Sales and Overall Performance.
