Mechanical Supervisor Cambridge, East Anglia £50,000 Our clients are on the lookout for a Mechanical-biased Supervisor to join their team on a large commercial property based in Cambridge. The Mechanical Supervisor will be expected to oversee and manage a large team of engineers on the landlord side of the building. You will be responsible for mechanical and electrical planned and reactive maintenance, remedial works, and emergency response on site. The Supervisor will need to be mechanically biased, holding City & Guilds / NVQ qualifications, whilst also being multi-skilled with strong all-round building services maintenance knowledge. This role operates Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm. Key Duties: Identify and diagnose faults, conducting repairs, adjustments, and necessary maintenance tasks as needed. Perform routine servicing, repairs, or adjustments on plant or machinery as per the planned maintenance schedule provided by Engineering Supervisors, Building Services Manager, and FM Helpdesk. Adopt a flexible approach, utilising various skills or trades as required to ensure cost-effective task completion. Execute additional skilled tasks where competency has been demonstrated. Monitor plant equipment and accurately record data using provided documentation. Strive for optimal plant and equipment efficiency by following prescribed requirements and instructions. Maintain cleanliness and organisation in work areas, removing waste and debris as necessary. Complete daily time/task sheets in line with procedures. Duties: Supervising a team of engineers PPMs & reactive maintenance Single and Three Phase Power, Motors, Generators (on/off load tests), LV/HV switching, shutdowns, switchgear, emergency lighting, fire alarm testing AHUs, FCUs, VAVs, sprinkler systems, pumps, belts, bearings, seals, BMS operation Carrying out isolation of plant and systems in line with safety requirements Promoting safe working practices and quality standards Organising subcontractors Completing logbooks and RAMS Liaising with client representatives regarding corrective works Managing permits to work Requirements: City & Guilds qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Proven ability to lead a team of maintenance engineers At least 5 years' experience in commercial building services maintenance Career-driven with ambition to progress Polite and personable Salary and Benefits: £50,000 per annum Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm 25 days holiday Pension package Overtime opportunities Training and development Strong internal progression opportunities
