This is an excellent opportunity to join an established Employment & HR team operating across multiple UK locations, supporting a diverse client base of corporate employers while playing a key role in the continued growth and development of the regional offering.
You will work closely with senior leadership, with the opportunity to take on greater responsibility, build client relationships and contribute meaningfully to the strategic direction of the team.
The position would suit a Senior Associate ready to step up, or an existing Salaried Partner seeking a strong platform within a collaborative and well-supported national practice.
The Role
As Senior Associate / Salaried Partner – Employment Law, you will take ownership of a broad and complex caseload while playing a key role in supporting and developing client relationships.
You will be involved in a mix of contentious and non-contentious matters, advising corporate employer clients on high-value and strategically important issues, while also contributing to the growth and profile of the Employment team.
This is a senior position offering genuine influence, with clear scope to shape your role and progression within the firm.
What You’ll Be Doing
Managing a varied caseload of employment law matters including:
• Complex Employment Tribunal claims from inception through to final hearing
• Advising on high-level disciplinary, grievance and redundancy matters
• Handling complex discrimination and strategic employment disputes
• Drafting and advising on contracts, policies and senior-level exits
• Supporting corporate transactions and organisational change projects
Building and developing strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor
Working closely with senior colleagues on strategic and high-value matters
Actively contributing to business development, networking and profile raising
Supporting the development of junior team members where appropriate
Playing a key role in the continued growth of the Employment practice in the region
What We’re Looking For
Qualified Solicitor with circa 6-7+ PQE in Employment Law
Strong experience across both contentious and non-contentious employment matters
Proven ability to manage complex Tribunal cases and client relationships
Commercially minded with the ability to deliver pragmatic, high-quality advice
Demonstrable interest or experience in business development
Ability to operate at a senior level within a collaborative team environment
Someone looking to step into a role with greater influence, responsibility and progression
Candidates must be within commutable distance of Southampton
