Solution Consultant Role
The Solution Consultant is a technical expert responsible for developing, positioning, and providing product-specific solutions during sales cycles, while achieving quarterly and annual sales goals within an assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities
* Support product sales as a technical and domain expert within a client-facing sales team.
* Lead discovery workshops to identify customer challenges and demonstrate how our solutions meet their needs.
* Respond to product feature and technical inquiries from customers, channel partners, and colleagues.
* Provide feedback to product management for potential product enhancements.
* Share best practices and reusable assets with team members to improve efficiency and quality.
* Stay informed on competitive analysis and market differentiation strategies.
* Support marketing events such as briefings, conferences, user groups, and trade shows.
Qualifications and Experience
* 7+ years of pre-sales solution consulting or sales engineering experience.
* Experience with the ServiceNow platform or similar cloud software solutions.
* Ability to collaborate with product teams, partners, and professional services.
* Territory management skills, including pipeline development and sales execution.
* Understanding of State and Local Government sectors.
* Strong customer management skills, including handling challenging customers.
* Deep attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Willingness to travel as needed.
Additional Considerations
Experience in integrating AI into workflows and decision-making processes is a plus.
