Specialist Hand Physiotherapist | Physiotherapy | Part Time | Permanent | Elland
Spire Elland have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Hand Therapist to join the team on a part time, permanent basis.
This role is for 15hrs per week and shift patterns can be discussed.
Spire Elland Hospital has been providing high levels of medical treatment and personal care since 1985. Our hospital has a full multi-disciplinary medical team on-site who practice some of the most advanced treatments on the latest generation imaging and diagnostic technology. This means we can offer everything from screening and rehabilitation through to leading-edge surgical procedures and excellence in specialist fields like orthopaedics, general surgery, gynaecology, and cosmetic procedures.
Duties and responsibilities
* To provide a high standard of specialist hand therapy assessment, diagnosis, treatment and advice to patients within the physiotherapy department
* Management of conditions such as Trapeziectomy, Fasciotomy, Tendon repairs and wound management
* Discuss, agree and explain responsibilities for the therapy assessment of patients, including their needs and any associated risks
* Using clinical reasoning skills develop treatment plans that are appropriate to the patient taking into consideration their physiotherapy care, risks and wellbeing.
Who we're looking for
* Degree (BSc Hons in Physiotherapy) or equivalent
* HCPC registered
* At least 2 years' post graduate experience
* Previous extensive experience is essential in specialist hand therapy (physio or occupational therapist considered)
* Experience of assessing, diagnosing and treating specialist hand cases
