Bookkeeper

Elevation Accountancy & Finance Recruitment are thrilled to be working with a well-established local business as they look to appoint an experienced Bookkeeper to support their finance and administrative operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy, is confident working across transactional finance, and is happy taking ownership across both finance and day-to-day office coordination.
The position is part-time (3-4 days per week) and offers a broad mix of bookkeeping, payment applications, payroll and general administration, providing essential support to a small, friendly team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage day-to-day bookkeeping using Sage, ensuring accurate posting and maintenance of financial records
2. Process all transactional activity including purchase invoices, payments, expenses and documentation
3. Complete VAT returns and maintain accounts up to management accounts level for handover to external accountants
4. Administer end-to-end payroll
5. Support the monthly updating of spreadsheets
6. Reconcile accounts and maintain supporting financial schedules for audit and accountant review
