Relief Support Practitioner
£13.45 per hour.
Locations and Shift Details
* Tranent – supports 4 people (2 in a block of flats, 2 outreach). No sleep‑over shifts. Shift times: 8 am – 2 pm, 9 am – 5 pm, 3 pm – 9 pm.
* Musselburgh – supports 6 people in one block of flats. Sleep‑over shift 3 pm – 3 am. Other shifts: 8 am – 2 pm, 9 am – 5 pm, 3 pm – 9 pm.
* Haddington – supports 8 people. Two Houses of Multiple Occupancy (three each) and two individual flats. Includes 24‑hour support with sleep‑overs and longer shifts.
Good bus links connect to Edinburgh and nearby villages.
Training and Working Arrangement
During induction you will work alongside experienced team members. After training you will work lone.
Responsibilities
* Work with colleagues to support vulnerable people.
* Communicate and build relationships with supported people.
* Support individuals during activities, providing positive feedback and encouragement.
* Maintain accurate records using a tablet on the ARKS Information Management system.
What is Relief?
There are no contracted hours; you can pick shifts that suit you. Relief work is offered on an as‑and‑when basis to cover sickness absence, study leave and other staffing needs. No guarantee of regular work.
