In this role, you’ll provide essential administrative support across multiple service areas, with a key focus on Planning, helping us deliver exceptional service to our community.

Reporting to the Development Support Team Leader and Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our operations—handling enquiries from the public with confidence and professionalism and ensuring tasks are completed accurately and with integrity.

We’re looking for someone who thrives in a team environment, brings practical office administration experience, and demonstrates strong communication and IT skills. You’ll need to be adaptable, able to prioritise your workload effectively, and build positive relationships with colleagues at all levels.

If you’re proactive, detail‑oriented, and ready to make a real impact in a role that offers variety and responsibility, we’d love to hear from you!

* Deliver essential support for key areas including Planning, HS2, Appeals, Building Control, Enforcement, Licensing, and Section 106 obligations.
* Be the first point of contact for internal and external enquiries via Teams, phone, email, and letter—taking ownership to resolve issues effectively.
* Play a vital role in decision-making processes by providing admin support for Planning Committees, Regulatory Committees, Appeal Hearings, and Inquiries.
* Ensure accuracy and compliance by producing Land Charge Searches and supporting enforcement activities.
* Drive improvement by contributing to the development and implementation of better work processes across the team.
