We are expanding our electrical division to meet the growing needs of our business. We are seeking an Electrical Supervisor to join our team at the Middlesborough branch. This role involves supervising a team of qualified mobile electricians and ensuring high-quality electrical services are delivered efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities include:
1. Planning, organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work to maximize productivity and ensure safety and compliance.
2. Leading and managing a team of NVQ Level 3 qualified mobile electricians, fostering their development and performance.
3. Managing key contracts to ensure outstanding service and prompt issue resolution.
4. Supporting the Northern Electrical Manager to optimize daily output and achieve long-term objectives.
5. Communicating effectively with the team through meetings, briefings, and company systems.
6. Addressing customer and departmental issues professionally and efficiently.
7. Ensuring the safe and timely delivery of electrical installations.
8. Implementing and enforcing health, safety, and environmental policies.
9. Maintaining necessary administrative records for departmental work control.
To succeed, you should combine electrical expertise with strong management skills, leading by example with a forward-thinking and detail-oriented approach.
Minimum qualifications and skills:
* Qualified electrician with ECS Gold card (Installation Electrician highlighted).
* Experience in management, motivating, and developing teams.
* Excellent communication skills across all levels.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks effectively.
* Organized with good time management skills.
* Problem-solving and decision-making abilities with a proactive attitude.
* Background in industrial, construction, or utilities sectors is advantageous but not essential.
* Understanding of electrical health and safety regulations.
* Full driving license (no more than 6 points) and willingness to travel across the North region.
Preferred certifications:
* City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent.
* SSSTS and CSCS Card (preferable).
* IOSH Managing Safely (preferable).
