School Kitchen Assistant
Chartwells Schools is looking for a motivated and passionate Kitchen Assistant to join our team on a part‑time basis, contracted to 20 hours per week. You will play a key role in delivering high‑quality, nutritious meals to pupils and students in primary, secondary and independent schools across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare delicious, high‑quality food that delights our clients and customers.
* Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the kitchen and surrounding areas.
* Ensure the correct use of all machinery and equipment.
* Assist with the loading or unloading of deliveries and supply vehicles.
* Represent Chartwells and maintain a positive brand image.
* Comply with Food Handling & Hygiene standards.
* Comply with Health & Safety regulations.

Compensation & Conditions
Contracted to 43 weeks per year. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and we ask applicants to declare all previous convictions and cautions in order to assess their suitability to work with children. Any offer of employment will be subject to successfully completing pre‑employment checks, including an enhanced DBS disclosure and a Children’s Barred List check.
