About the role
We are seeking experienced Butchers to manage our Butchery Departments as if they were their own business. This role involves working with customers to develop their business, understanding local market needs, and providing excellent service.
This position offers the flexibility to run a butchery business without financial risk. Ideal candidates will have good product knowledge of all meat proteins, be self-motivated, and eager to succeed.
You will be responsible for
Maintaining high standards across all areas, including stock management, food safety procedures, meat displays, staff morale, and customer satisfaction.
Collaborating with the Store Manager to develop a business plan supporting sales growth and profitability.
Greeting and advising customers, answering questions, accepting orders, and providing helpful service with a smile.
Ordering and managing stock, including stocktaking.
Leading and managing a small team, including staff rotas.
Cutting meat to order.
Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment.
Coordinating deliveries and order pickups.
Controlling waste.
