The EPRR Officer provides business and operational support to the EPRR function so that DBTH meets its duties as a Category1 responder under the Civil Contingencies Act 2004, and complies with the NHS England EPRR Framework and NHS Core Standards for EPRR. Working across clinical and corporate services, the postholder manages EPRR information and evidence, coordinates plans, training and exercising, and supports incident readiness, response and recovery. A core element of the role is the operational leadership of the Trust's FFP3 Fit Testing programme. The postholder provides day‑to‑day supervision of a team of Fit Testing Officers, plans multi‑site delivery, and assures compliance with HSE INDG479/HSG53, COSHH and Fit2Fit good practice. The role requires strong organisation, clear communication, confident stakeholder engagement, and the ability to work autonomously within defined policies while coordinating actions to closure and maintaining a complete, auditable evidence base. This vacancy will be across all Trust sites, however will primarily based at Doncaster Royal Infirmary; travel to Bassetlaw Hospital and Montagu Hospital as required.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate delivery of NHS EPRR Core Standards and maintain assurance evidence/returns.
* Run EPRR governance schedule and action tracking, escalating risks/issues.
* Maintain incident response documentation; support SITREPs, logs and briefings during incidents.
* Coordinate debriefs and lessons/actions to closure, embedding learning into plans/training/BC.
* Support delivery of annual EPRR training and exercise programme; produce exercise packs and reports.
* Monitor ESR compliance/competency records and report variances.
* Operationally lead Trust‑wide FFP3 Fit Testing: supervise delivery, line‑manage Fit Testing staff, assure standards, manage logistics, and report KPIs/coverage.
