We are looking for a Senior Technical Manager to join our Operational Efficiency / Building Services team in London.
Senior Technical Manager (Electrical)
Our engineering services business is looking for a Senior Technical Manager (Electrical) to join the team to effectively and professionally lead day to day compliance and safety in relation to electrical services installation and maintenance. This scope will span design, procurement, installation and commissioning as well as operations within our facilities management portfolio across the following sectors commercial, healthcare, education, council and defence.
Responsibilities
* Undertake investigations with respect to near misses and accidents within FM and MEP.
* Regularly inspect works for compliance with design & legislative requirements and report on progress, ensuring remedial actions are closed within agreed timelines.
* Support MEP and FM teams with new project onboarding process with the aim that new projects or buildings are onboarded efficiently whilst helping to manage risk of the new assets by highlighting compliance issues at the time of onboarding.
* Provide strategic direction and support to the Technical department and wider projects and Authorised Persons (AP) in relation to electrical safety priorities.
* Add value to the capital works process by challenging solutions, methods, and techniques where appropriate to improve buildability and reduce whole life costs.
Qualifications
* Expert understanding and experience in implementing the Electricity at Work Regulations.
* Expert understanding and experience in BS 7671 18th Edition.
* Expert understanding and experience in working with electrical safe systems of work.
* Expert understanding of Emergency lighting regulations.
* Working knowledge of BS8519.
* Electrical trade background with appropriate training to reach the technical Level.
