With over 60 years in business my client is a large manufacturing company within the catering sector. Due to continued growth my client is looking for a Business development Manager to join their team. This role will be covering the South East of the country and will be focused purely on New Business development and helping the company grow their client portfolio.\n\nTo be considered for this role you will have previous New Business Development experience working in a full 360 role.
You must have a full UK driving license and be able to travel throughout the South East. Previous experience working in the Catering sector would be advantageous.\n\nResponsibilities of the Business Development Manager role are:\n\n * To be responsible for the overall management of new national/multi-site accounts.\n\n * Develop a clear understanding of market opportunities, collect and analyse varied market research information to better understand the UK market.\n\n * To actively pursue new business and recommend ways in which the company can attract greater market share and/or penetration.\n\n * To develop communication strategies, working with the marketing department.\n\n * To utilise and drive social media content, working within the company framework.\n\n * To successfully apply strategic sales framework approach to identify target customers, complete the necessary screening, comprehensively map the customer, customise the value proposition, set the plan to win and execute and follow up.\n\n * To establish a comprehensive database which records the intelligence from successful completion of each step within the company CRM and maintain this data regularly.\n\n * To liaise with the UK Regional Business Manager on a monthly basis and review regional performance, service issues, new product development and current market trends.\n\n * To prepare account sales pipeline information as required by the UK Regional Business Manager.\n\n * To attend Sales meetings and assist with the planning and delivery of regional meetings as required.\n\n * To attend business conferences, exhibitions and trade associations as required. .\n\n * To undertake an annual review of performance and target / goal setting exercise for future trading periods.\n\n * To assist the UK Regional Business Manager with the overall strategy and management of the business unit.\n\n * To provide training, mentoring and assessment of the regional sales team as required.\n\nFor the Business Development Manager role my client is offering a generous basic salary as well as a commission plan and company car as part of the package.
