You will have the opportunity to manage your own clinical cases from start to finish and you will be working in hospital environments with access to an extensive range of diagnostic and surgical equipment as well as supportive and experienced colleagues. You will be primarily based at our Grimsby hospital, where you will join a team of veterinary surgeons and many experienced nurses, ACAs and auxiliary staff. Throughout your placement you will receive expert support from our large team of vets. You will be line managed by a senior vet and have a dedicated VetGDP advisor during your time with us. Within this role you will: Learn how to run your own consult list, seeing a wide variety of interesting cases Learn how to manage a busy hospital caseload with training in inpatient care Receive a tailored training plan in surgery and diagnostic procedures Receive adequate training in emergency work, before being gradually introduced into our veterinary surgeons' out-of-hours rota Take an active role in our monthly team development days, where services are reduced to emergency-only, to allow for team meetings, cadaver training sessions and external lectures Provide a much-appreciated service to pet owners in need About you You will be a practical, pragmatic individual who enjoys working in a team.
