This post is based at Lister Hospital in Stevenage, is full time and the post holder will be expected to participate on the 1:8 on call rota. This is an excellent opportunity within the Anaesthetics department at East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS Trust. The on-call rota will be a 1 in 8 full shift rota. Main clinical responsibilities:

* To provide a junior doctor level of clinical responsibilities with consultant cover.
* To participate in the department's teaching, audit, and educational activities.
* Sessions in the operating theatres, intensive care or obstetrics.
* Provide a safe and effective anaesthesia service across all areas of the hospital.
* Supporting on call tier of trainees in Anaesthesia (theatres and Obstetrics) / ICU during on call in order to provide a safe and effective emergency service.
* Supporting the Critical Care Outreach Service.
