Role Overview:
As a Senior Accountant, you will take a leading role in delivering accounting services to a varied portfolio of SME clients.
You will supervise junior staff, manage client relationships, and contribute to the firm’s continued growth.
This position would suit someone ACA/ACCA qualified (or qualified by experience) with strong technical knowledge and prior experience in a UK accountancy practice environment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
•Preparation of year-end financial statements for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships
•Preparation and review of management accounts
•Assisting with business advisory projects and ad hoc reporting
•Overseeing and reviewing work completed by junior staff
•Building and maintaining strong client relationships
•Supporting the Partners with practice development initiatives
•Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and deadlines
Candidate Requirements:
•ACA / ACCA qualified (or QBE with strong practice experience)
•Proven experience within an accountancy practice environment
•Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting and tax principles
•Ability to manage a portfolio and work to deadlines
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•Strong IT skills, ideally including Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks
