Job Description :
We are currently seeking a dynamic and compassionate Band 5/6 Occupational Therapist to join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of individuals receiving inpatient mental health services. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting patients on their journey to recovery, promoting independence, and enhancing their overall quality of life.
Responsibilities :
1. Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients’ occupational performance and functional abilities.
2. Developing individualized treatment plans tailored to patients’ needs and goals.
3. Implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address barriers to engagement in meaningful activities.
4. Providing therapeutic groups and individual sessions to support skill development and recovery.
5. Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care delivery and holistic support for patients.
6. Offering education and support to patients and their families regarding strategies for maintaining well-being and maximizing independence upon discharge.
Requirements :
7. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
8. Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
9. Experience working in inpatient mental health settings, preferably at the Band 5 or Band 6 level.
10. Strong clinical skills in conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering therapeutic interventions.
11. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
12. Passion for promoting recovery and empowering individuals to achieve their goals.
