We are representing a professional services firm in their search for a Trust Manager to join their London office. The successful candidate will be part of a small, collaborative team, with direct exposure to international trust and corporate structures.
The position is ideally suited to someone who has previously worked in the Channel Islands (Jersey or Guernsey) within a trust company environment and is now based in London or planning to relocate. Candidates at Senior Trust Officer or Assistant Manager level who are ready to step up will be strongly considered.
Role Overview:
The Trust Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of a varied portfolio of trusts and companies, with a focus on high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and complex structures. The role involves direct client contact, liaison with intermediaries, and oversight of compliance and governance matters.
Key Responsibilities:
* Administer a portfolio of trust and company structures across multiple jurisdictions
* Maintain strong relationships with clients, intermediaries, and internal stakeholders
* Prepare trustee resolutions, board minutes, and other governance documentation
* Oversee onboarding of new business, including KYC and due diligence reviews
* Support fee collection, cash management, and financial reporting for client entities
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks and internal policies
* Contribute to team development, mentoring junior staff where appropriate
Candidate Profile:
* Prior experience in a trust company, ideally in the Channel Islands / Offshore
* Strong understanding of fiduciary duties and offshore structures
* STEP qualified or working towards qualification
* Comfortable working in a small team with hands-on responsibilities
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving
