Your new role The primary purpose of this role is to serve as the senior technical and strategic leader for AI/MLOps Engineering within the businesses AI Centre of Excellence (CoE). The post holder will act as a recognised subject-matter expert and principal advisor, leading the productionisation, scaling, operational governance, and life cycle management of AI/ML systems across the organisation. This is a Director-level leadership role requiring deep technical credibility, strong strategic judgement, and the ability to drive delivery across multiple business domains within a biotech environment. The role is accountable for defining and executing the enterprise AI/MLOps engineering strategy, ensuring that AI capabilities-including machine learning systems, large language models (LLMs), agentic AI workflows, and healthcare foundation models-are deployed through scalable, secure, reproducible, and GxP-compliant engineering practices. What you'll need to succeed Significant experience leading AI/MLOps, MLOps, AI platform engineering, or closely related technical capabilities in complex enterprise environments.
