We are looking for an experienced Chef with strong skills in South Indian cooking and the ability to prepare English breakfasts for our new restaurant in Wales. The restaurant will bring together authentic Indian flavours and familiar British favourites, serving both locals and visitors.
The role includes:
* Preparing and cooking South Indian specialties such as dosa, idli, vada, sambar, rasam, biryani, curries, and chutneys
* Cooking traditional English breakfast items: full fry-ups (eggs, sausages, bacon, beans, mushrooms, tomatoes, toast), omelettes, and light breakfast dishes
* Creating vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes with consistency and quality
* Managing daily prep, stock control, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness
* Ensuring high standards of hygiene, food safety, and organisation in the kitchen
* Supporting menu development and introducing seasonal or special dishes
What we're looking for:
* Proven experience as a South Indian Chef (restaurant/hotel/catering background)
* Ability to prepare traditional English breakfast to a high standard
* Strong knowledge of South Indian spices, techniques, and flavours
* Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen and maintain consistency
* Reliability, teamwork, and passion for cooking authentic, quality food
