Band 3 Administrator - Dietitians Department, St Richard's Hospital, Chichester
20hrs per week
This post is part of the administration team within the Dietitians Department at St Richards Hospital, Chichester.
Main duties of the job
Alongside your colleagues, you will provide audio typing for the Dietitians clinic letters, arrange patients appointments, speak to patients over the phone and provide administrative support to the Dietitians Department.
You will be skilled in audio and copy typing, have a good knowledge of office practice, have an excellent telephone manner, good verbal and written communication skills, a good command of English and the ability to develop effective working relationships and work as part of a team.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Answer incoming telephone calls and enquiries into the department, in a
professional, friendly, helpful and polite manner
Communicate messages to the Dietitians and other colleagues in an accurate and timely manner using message recording systems
Check the answer phone regularly and deal with enquiries or write up accurate messages
Make telephone calls to other departments, outside agencies and patients, as requested
Liaise with patients and families, Carers, Doctors, Nurses, Therapists,
colleagues and other administration staff.

Essential criteria
1. RSA 3 or experience to RSA equivalent
2. GCSE or equivalent English language and Mathematics
3. NVQ/NCFE Level 4, BTEC or equivalent

4. Qualification in using Microsoft Office Programmes
