Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 5.30pm
Salary: Up to £42,000 including OTE
An exciting opportunity has arisen at our Chelmsford Jaguar Land Rover dealership for an experienced Workshop Controller to join our dynamic team in our state-of-the-art facility. This role is ideal for a talented and enthusiastic professional looking to advance their career within JLR.
As a Workshop Controller, you will supervise and motivate our team of Technicians and Apprentices, proactively review and prioritize the daily workload, and ensure high standards of service and repair are maintained.
You will report to the Aftersales Manager, who will support your development and provide ongoing training opportunities to help you progress within the JLR brand and the automotive industry.
Your responsibilities include:
1. Managing the day-to-day operations of the workshop, ensuring technicians meet their daily targets.
2. Supporting the Aftersales Manager in delivering excellent customer service and achieving profitability and retention goals.
3. Maintaining high customer satisfaction levels through quality checks and adherence to standards.
4. Ensuring compliance with company policies, DVSA regulations, health and safety standards, and OEM guidelines.
5. Overseeing the correct and timely completion of service work, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
6. Building and maintaining relationships with vehicle manufacturers and supporting technicians during repairs.
7. Coordinating with colleagues and other departments to deliver top-quality service.
8. Scheduling work based on customer needs, workshop targets, job complexity, and parts availability.
9. Assisting with technical challenges and supporting the team, including writing technical reports.
We seek someone who is friendly, confident, enthusiastic, and a team player. A full valid UK driving license is essential for this role.
