Job Specification: IT Support Technician Location: Newton Aycliffe Department: IT Support Purpose of the Role To provide responsive, effective desktop and systems support across Octric Semiconductors Ltd. This includes routine IT tasks, diagnostics, hardware/software support, and resolving technical issues under the direction of senior IT staff. Key Responsibilities Provide end-user support for hardware, software, systems, and access issues. Respond to technical support requests via telephone, email, and face-to-face. Troubleshoot and resolve issues using Service Desk tools. Install and configure hardware/software (e.g., PCs, printers, business software). Conduct user account tasks (e.g., creation/deletion in Active Directory). Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks. Document all activities and participate in regular IT team meetings.Main Tasks Log and track IT issues through the IT Helpdesk. Liaise directly with users to determine and resolve issues or discuss solutions. Work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Adapt to shifting priorities and demonstrate flexibility under pressure.Person Specification Essential Experience Proven experience in an IT support role. Team-based working experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
