Senior Research Engineer - SLAM
An exciting start-up based in Central Oxford are looking to expand their Research team who are developing 3D Localisation and Mapping Algorithms.
The company build 3D models of indoor and outdoor environments. You would be responsible for developing and improving 3D localisation and mapping algorithms and related applications (change detection, place recognition, semantic segmentation).
They are ideally looking for candidates with experience developing localisation and mapping (SLAM) on robots, vehicles or sensor systems. With strong C++, Python and ROS in the context of robotics and mobile sensing.
Essential:
· PhD in Engineering (Robotics, Computer Vision or AI)
· Strong commercial experience - C++, Python and ROS
· Commercial experience with SLAM
· Experience with LiDAR, vision sensors, GPS, or IMUs.
Location - Central Oxford (Hybrid working 2-3 days a week onsite)
Salary – Up to £70,000
