PE Teacher – Full Time – Blackburn Start Date: October 2025 Contract: Maternity Cover (until July 2026) Vision for Education is seeking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic PE Teacher to join the team at a welcoming and inclusive mainstream secondary school in Blackburn. This is a full-time teaching role beginning October 2025, to cover a maternity leave, and is expected to continue until July 2026. The Role The successful PE Teacher will deliver engaging and high-quality Physical Education lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, catering to pupils with a broad range of ability levels. You will play a key role in promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and positive attitudes towards health and wellbeing. This position is open to Early Career Teachers (ECTs) as well as experienced practitioners who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people. Your responsibilities will include: Planning and delivering engaging PE lessons that inspire and challenge students. Assessing, recording, and reporting on the development and progress of students. Creating a supportive classroom environment that encourages participation and progression. Contributing to the wider school community, including extra-curricular sports activities and school events. Requirements To be considered for the role of PE Teacher, you will: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or have recent teaching experience with 11–16-year-olds.
