Tower Crane Electrician Location: Northampton Nationwide Travel Salary: £60,000k per annum with an OTE of £95,000k About the Role We are looking for an experienced and motivated Tower Crane Electrician to join a professional and well-established engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in delivering high standards of workmanship and service excellence while supporting the maintenance and operation of a modern tower crane fleet across the UK. The successful candidate will carry out installation, commissioning, maintenance, inspection, servicing, and fault diagnosis on tower cranes, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with current industry standards and legislation. Candidates must have tower crane experience and will be working on Potain tower crances specifically Key Responsibilities Electrical installation and commissioning of tower cranes during erection, climbing, and dismantling Carrying out fault-finding, diagnostics, and repairs using manufacturer and third-party systems Performing planned preventative maintenance and statutory inspections Completing digital job records, service reports, and maintenance documentation Ensuring compliance with LOLER, PUWER, BS 7121, CPA guidance, and company procedures What We're Looking For Essential ECS Level 3 NVQ Gold Card (Electrical) NVQ Level 3 Plant Installation - Tower Cranes Proven tower crane electrical experience Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills Good IT skills, including use of tablets and digital job systems Full UK driving licence Flexibility to work weekends when required Desirable Potain/Manitowoc training or experience Experience with anti-collision and load-monitoring systems What's on Offer Company van, fuel card, and smartphone PPE, tools, and diagnostic equipment provided Ongoing technical training and professional development Private healthcare after probation Life assurance and wellbeing support package Holiday allowance increasing with service Career Progression There is scope for progression into a more senior position for candidates who demonstrate strong leadership, technical ability, and organisational skills, including greater responsibility for service planning and fleet maintenance coordination.
