This is a rare opportunity to work at GLLs flagship facility set to open this year. The new Woolwich Waves Leisure Centre will be one of the largest flagship centres that GLL has operated. Designed by the Britannia project team and at a cost of over £115m, the new centre will boast:
1. Large leisure pool with flumes, toddler pool and a large wet play park
2. 25m, 8-lane fitness pool
3. 20m training pool
4. Spa Experience with health suite and treatment rooms, all adjoining the training pool to give a true health club style spa experience
5. 200-station gym over two floors
6. Four studios – Group Cycle, Elevate, and two fitness studios
7. 6-court sports hall
8. Indoor 5-a-side 3G pitch

What you’ll do:
15. Comply with the commitments out lined in GLL Values ensuring that standards are maintained as stipulated
16. Ensure that all compliance is followed
17. Follow the legal requirements in line with Ofsted legislation
18. Ensure you follow all relevant administration procedures
19. Ensure that every child is given equality of opportunity and they are all included and supported
20. Care of overs 8’s, does not adversely affect the care of the under 8’s
21. Keeping all areas and equipment are checked and cleaned as per the cleaning matrix
22. Ensuring you deal, log and report to the Children Activity Supervisor all safeguarding issues to the management team

What you need:
23. Good understanding of the characteristics and qualities that guardians expect from a childcare provision
24. Knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation
25. Knowledge of GLL Safeguarding Polices Procedures and Code of Conduct on Safer Working Practices.
26. Suitable level of experience working with children within a creche / Nursery environment
27. NVQ Level 2/3 in Children's Childcare/ play work
28. Experience of delivering an enabling environment whilst responding to children’s individual needs.
29. Strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to work as part of a team
