Responsibilities
1. Implementation and enforcement of organisational BIM Standards.
2. Provide BIM training internally for the business unit.
3. Manage & Control of Project Information to and from Common Data Environments following agreed protocols and ensure that the data is secure.
4. Model Validation (Geometric & Data QA).
5. Trouble Shooting / Fire Fighting.
6. Prepare BIM execution plans and project specific training documentation.
7. Assist with company efficiencies and productivity hacks in the organisations BIM process.
8. Attend conferences, seminars and workshops on behalf of the company with a view to transferring knowledge internally within the organisation.
9. Proficient in using BIM authoring tools to provide technical support and mentoring required to the project team.
10. Assist with the implementation of BIM supporting software.
11. Manage and maintain project content and source any additional content as required.
12. Understand and ensure any changes in procedure and standards are effectively communicated to project teams.
13. Coordinate and manage BIM project data sets/workflow and project set up.
14. Communicate effectively and offer cross-team support.
15. Set up linked models and coordinate models across disciplines.
16. Daily model management administration and maintenance.
17. Understand and execute government standards by implementing during virtual design and construction phase.
18. Manage and coordinate sensitive and confidential information.
BIM Lead Experience & Qualifications
19. A Degree or HNC/HND in building services engineering, Architecture, Civil Engineering or Construction.
20. Minimum of 4-5 years' experience as a BIM Technician/Modeler, CAD Technician or BIM Coordinator.
21. Strong understanding of BIM standards, especially ISO 19650, protocols, and Common Data Environments (CDEs).
22. Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Solibri, and platforms like BIM 360/ACC is essential.
23. Knowledge of 3D modeling, model federation, clash detection, and data management.
24. Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team.
25. Strong analytical skills for identifying and resolving coordination issues.
26. Good time management and task prioritisation.
Salary: between £50,000 - £60,000 dependant on experience plus package including;
