About The Role
We are looking for a Supervisor to join the Non‑Residential Campus Cleaning Services team within the Estates Department. The role requires you to work with, organise and lead a team of Cleaning Assistants to provide an effective and efficient cleaning service across the University campus.
This position is 32.5 hours per week, contracted to work 5 days over 7 including weekends throughout the year. Typical working hours are 6.00am to 1.00pm, but flexibility is required.
You will be responsible for ensuring the cleaning service level is delivered, supervising a small team of cleaning staff, and maintaining high standards of service.
Flexible Working
We will consider applications for employment on a flexible working basis, e.g., job sharing.
Work Location
Due to the nature of this role and business operation requirements, the successful applicant will be required to work the majority of their time on campus.
About You
We are looking for a candidate who is experienced in managing a team and has knowledge of basic Health and Safety relevant to the role, ensuring that the needs of the business are kept as a priority.
You should have good IT skills and be confident with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel. You should be friendly and approachable, and confident when attending meetings with other supervisors.
You should be a good team player, work well with others, and be keen to provide excellent customer service for our students, staff, and visitors to the University.
