About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting pupils with a variety of additional needs, helping them to access learning and develop both academically and socially. Roles may involve working on a one-to-one basis or supporting small groups within the classroom.
You may be working with students with needs including, but not limited to:
Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
Moderate to severe learning difficulties
Responsibilities can include:
Supporting the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
Implementing individual education plans (IEPs)
Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
Assisting with personal care where required
Promoting a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment
Candidate Requirements:
Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (in education or similar settings)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A patient, resilient and proactive approach
Ability to adapt to different school environments and student needs
A genuine passion for supporting children’s development and wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
