The Role
Permanent
Part Time
We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our team on a temporary part time basis (24 hours a week). In this role, you'll provide essential support to the finance team, ensuring smooth day-to-day financial operations and helping to maintain accuracy of the financial records. The hours could be split over 3-5 days, with flexibility for the right individual.
Key Responsibilities:
Process invoices, payments, and receipts in a timely manner.
Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, customer and supplier accounts.
Support with month-end close activities and preparation of financial data.
Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, ensuring compliance with company policies.
Provide administrative support to the finance team, including filing, document management, and data entry.
Respond to queries from vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders regarding financial transactions.
Help streamline financial processes and identify areas for improvement.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Previous experience in a finance or accounting role is essential.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good understanding of basic accounting principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
