Senior customer marketing manager - acquisition

Role Purpose

Drive the planning and execution of creative, effective acquisition campaigns. Work in cross-functional squads to deliver targeted, measurable campaigns that attract new customers and support commercial growth.

Main Responsibilities

1. Develop and execute acquisition strategies across digital and traditional channels, ensuring alignment with brand and commercial goals.

2. Create campaign briefs and manage end-to-end delivery of acquisition campaigns, including paid social and digital display, working with internal colleagues and external partners.

3. Use data and analytics to identify target cohorts and optimise campaign performance.

4. Ensure all acquisition activity complies with relevant regulatory and brand guidelines.

5. Develop test-and-learn approaches for new acquisition channels and campaign formats, sharing learnings across the team.

6. Collaborate with Product, Commercial, and Data teams to ensure acquisition activity is insight-led and cost-effective.

7. Partner with the Brand & Digital Marketing, Digital and Product teams to ensure acquisition messaging is consistent and compelling across all customer touchpoints.

8. Focus on key acquisition KPIs, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Knowledge:

9. Deep understanding of customer acquisition strategies and best practices across digital and traditional channels.

10. Strong grasp of the telecoms, utilities, or other consumer-facing sectors, including regulatory and compliance considerations.

11. Familiarity with data analytics tools, CRM systems, and campaign management platforms.

12. Awareness of competitor activity, market trends, and emerging acquisition channels.

 Skills:

13. Creative campaign development and test-and-learn mindset.

14. Advanced analytical interpretation skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable plans.

15. Excellent commercial acumen, ensuring cost-effective acquisition.

16. Strong project management skills, able to deliver multiple campaigns simultaneously to tight deadlines.

17. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, including agency and supplier relationship management.

18. Ability to influence and collaborate effectively within cross-functional squads.

 Experience:

19. Significant experience in customer acquisition marketing, ideally in an in-house environment.

20. Proven track record of delivering successful acquisition campaigns within strict budget parameters.

21. Experience managing external agencies, partners, and suppliers.

22. Demonstrated ability to use data and analytics to optimise campaign performance and report on KPIs.

23. Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams.
